Domino Pizza

Had Domino Pizza delivery for lunch in office. We took the promotion deal which include 2 large pizzas, 1 bottle soft drink and a free bola bear for $35 which apparently is better deal than you ordered ala carte. The pizza arrived late and we did not have it straight after it delivered, hence to me it is quite cold and doesn't really taste fantastic. One great service is if thw delivery should be within 30mins and if it is late they will give you a complimentary pizza on your next order. There is one interesting GPS tracker for you to check on the pizza status.

The booming of the cafe is everywhere in Singapore now. I had lunch with colleague and I am thinking of cafe. I really found it, there is one cafe nearby Macpherson area. I am not sure how long is the cafe exists but I think from the outlook of the cafe, it shouldn't be too long as it looks pretty new.

I did a search and found that almost everyone who visit here will try its rainbow cake. However, due to limited space and time, I did not manage to go for desserts after our lunch. Overall, the dishes that we tried consider good as compare with some other restaurant and cafe.

My Latte with extra Espresso Shot($3.9+$1) - I am disappointed the latte served without the art. Am I here for coffee or art? Probably some of the reason I wanted to get latte is because of the arts. I should go for pure espresso next time. Someone told me, if you order latte means you dun know how to appreciate coffee. Glad that I added extra shot so it tasted better and not so milky. My friend got Espresso($2.5) but she said very diluted,

Breakfast Rosti($14.9) - Overall is good but I feel the rosti is too oily. I don't like the oily after taste.

Ultimate NOM burger($13.9) - the patty is good, this is quite filling and we did not manage to finish all the fries, Fries a bit over-fried. Overall I am quite satisfied with the burger.

SS Club Ipoh

This is a very late post as it sit in my card for quite sometime. SS Club is at KL and they have branch at Lost World Tambun. It was a year and half ago when I visited them on their opening. I remembered we got free entry and just paid for our beverage. Drink are all standard, I got mine with good choice of non-alcoholic one. The burger tasted average. The pub's environment consider quite nice, but very noisy if you have more people and crowded. Great thing was the time we went in not much people, so we were still quite enjoy for this.

This time, when I visited Lost World Tambun again, I found that they seems closed, not sure it is temporarily for permanent.

La Flamme

Bukit Tinggi  is a small town in the Bentong district of Pahang, Malaysia. This small town is notable for its famous restaurants that lure visitors coming from Genting Highlands. There are garden that replicate Japanese and French, which is main attraction of the place.

We dined in  La Flamme@Colmar Tropicale Bukit Tinggi as there isn't much choice for us to choose from. This looks like better choice. The price is typical restaurant price and with its location at tourist attraction, do not expect to have cheap stuff. Overall, experience of the dining was average. Not awful but not fantastic too. With the price that I paid, I may get better else where. Try to avoid the Hawaiian Pizza and go for other choice as I felt that was failed for mine.

The Providore

Providore, not only a cafe by itself, it is also a brand of quite a number of products. I went to the Providore cafe at Orchard for a tea time while waiting for my next appointment. It has a grocery shop next door right opposite the cafe where you can buy coffee, tea, chutneys, pickles, savoury jam, sauces etc.

I had Mocha($5++) and Raspberry Cake($8.5++). It took me a while to decide what cake to have as quite a few looked so tempting but I can only have 1 at that time. I decided on raspberry cake simply because I wanted the sourness and I was glad that I really did a right choice. The mocha tasted standard, good for me. I especially love the cake to go with my mocha. A bit sourness and not to sweet, I was very pleased with my raspberry cake.

Red Carrot Cafe

I seems always met friends here for tea time so I never tried the food here. My only memory is the drink. I had hot chocolate (RM5+) and my friend had pineapple juice. We got some wedges with cheese sauce (additional RM1.5 for this). This is a good place to hang around as it is quiet during tea time even on a Sunday.  Drink tasted quite standard, no complaint on that. My sister said the yogurt ice cream here is nice. However it was not available on the day I visited.

Tom's Too

The cafe is locates inside Delta Mall, the menu is not cheap if I browse through.  I wanted to have some desserts very much so I drove here purposely for that.  I got Red Velvet Cake, the cake is too dry for me. Both me and my sister feel that it tasted not nice. We had cappuccino (RM7.9+), coffee tasted average. Total bill damage include service charge is RM19.8.

Dempsey House

I chanced to know this vintage high tea session why I was looking for the best high tea place in Singapore. However, the high tea buffet only available on Thursday and Friday which is an unusual time that I am able to go. It happened there is one day I was on leave, so I planned my afternoon there. 

Dempsey isn't very accessible for me. I need to take at least 2 buses to reach here and if I want to walk in, that is a lot of walk as Dempsey House located the most inner. So, I will suggest to save time or energy, you either drive or take a cab in. The high tea is $30++ per pax, you will get 10% off if you come dressed to the 1920s.

Guess where is this place? It has creative design and you can even sit there for a rest or while waiting for your turn. This is the restroom.

I was happy to see the presentation, that is what attracted me. There are 4 teas to be served and you can interchange any-time if you would like to try others. I tried the first three and preferred Muah Muah the most. The lime juice with basil is the one that help you fill up with more sweet stuff. It is really very sour but it really helped a lot while I was having too many cake and desserts.

There wasn't much choice of the savoury but I did try each and everyone except the salad as I felt I don't have enough room for that. So, next time if you are coming for a high tea buffet, remember to have very light lunch. Among all the savoury stuff, I preferred only the think crust pizza and out of all pizza, I like squid ink pizza most but due to some reason, I was prohibited to take any seafood stuff. The puff stuffed cheese macaroni supposedly to be good but was quite disappointed. The puff skin was good but the filling was not great.

Next was all the assorted bread. I personally prefer this session more than the savoury one. However, bread was very filling so I tried all type of bread with the spreads once. The truffles mushroom was nice but slightly too salty for me, must go with bread. I like tuna pineapple most. Thai chicken tasted very average. There was also cheese platter which was not in the picture. 3 types of cheeses were served, all were great!

Be frank, I was really disappointed with this session as this was the stuff I most anticipated. I almost tried all the cakes and pastries but no cookies as I am not cookie lover. The only I felt nice is the earl grey mousse, the carrot cake and the chocolate cake. The assorted cupcake although having different flavour but all having the same base so nothing much. The double chocolate cupcake was nice. Cheesecake taste very average, sad with my bread pudding - too dry. The custard tart taste quite good but the crust was too think.
