Prive Cafe

1st day of 2014 and I wanted a nice and cosy place, not so crowded so me and my friends we choose Prive for our lunch. It is located at Keppel Bay. I tried to call for reservation but it was full.  If you are in big group going for brunch or lunch, I will strongly recommend advance booking. I was there at 11:30am, not lunch time yet and the queue was fine. I waited for 10mins to be seated.

The weather was good and I preferred outdoor seating as you can feel the freshness of the air. You can see all hatch and boat parking at the bay. It indeed quite a nice view.

Overall, I had quite a quality time at Prive.

I got myself the Smoked Salmon Croissant($18++). It served with poached egg with hollandaise sauce, smoked salmon, beetroot, onion, green salad and of course the croissant.  I like the choice as it is something different from the egg benedict that I always had.

My guy friend got Ultimate Brekkie ($20++). This is really a all in kind breakfast with any choice of egg (he took scrambled eggs), sausages, bacon, tomato and green vegetables, sautéed mushrooms and toast. Nice but too full for him.

My gal friend got the egg benedict ($16++) which come with 2 poached eggs, ham and bacon, green vegetables and short bread with hollandaise sauce. I tried some, quite nice. She feel the sauce is too thick and this combination made her very full.

Brunch always go together with coffee, that is what I always have now. Prive served illy coffee, I expected to be some other special kind of bean so kind of a bit disappointed.  The cappuccino($5.5++) and latte($5.5++) tasted average.  My guy friend got TWG Earl Grey French ($5++). You won't go wrong with TWG.

I am kind of very disappointed with the dessert.  I got Lemon Meringue Pie($7++). This probably the worst I had. It looks nice and meringue is thick. The skin of the pie itself a bit sweet which normally seems a bit salty.  The lemon filling is like too watery for me and it seems very little.  I personally like the slightly solid taste.

Bistro One Zero Three

I wouldn't know this place if my colleague never introduce it to me. He come for its unique wines. 

From outside, the restaurant look really ordinary, like quite old also. If it wasn't my colleague, I think I wont know about it. I love the atmosphere of this small and cosy restaurant. The food here are really good especially the dessert.

The main courses are quite good.. The pork chop was tender and juicy. The Lamb Shoulder Rack I can accept as I normally dun like the smell of the lamb and this doesn't have strong smell.

Their wines are great as mentioned by my colleagues. I am not a wine person but I believe my colleagues will appreciate them much.

I love their dessert especially Panacotta with mocha sauce. It is so far the best I had tasted. Chocolate Walnut Brownie with French Vanilla Ice Cream is great too.

Wood Restaurant & Bar

Last Friday, we had team lunch at Wood Restaurant &Bar @ Vivocity. The environment here is very nice and you will see Sentosa from some of the nice views. I guess it will be even nicer if we came for dinner. This is a fine dining restaurant, where the food quality is up to standard. I had my favourite tenderloin and dessert set lunch which I enjoyed very much. The restaurant also served garlic herb bread which is very nice.

Carl's Jr.

This is definetely the best burger(in all fast food range) I had taken before. I love their Charbroiled Beef Burger. I tried their chicken burger before but I still prefer the beef burger, my friend who only take chicken, comment that it is so far the best chicken burger. And their fries is the best too. There is a wide range of burger to choose from, free flow of drink, it will be a good place to chat with friend as well.

Of course the price is also higher than normal fast food. However, i feel the food worth the price.
