2nd round of my breakfast as it seemed a lot of people eating there. The teh tarik consider good but somehow I feel.not hot enough. Plain prata is not the texture I like but my friend sais not bad. Roti Tissue is not crispy enough. I had one in KL which the whole roti is crispy. The version here only crispy at the top.
Food is important. Humans need a lot of things to survive, food is one of them. I just simply like to eat and would like to share the food that I had eaten or I prepared to remind myself how fortunate am I for all the cuisines.

King Omar Restaurant
This is a prata place that I found when I dine at this area. Sometime I will have prata craving and that day was the same so I thought of this restaurant.
I had Prata bom ($2) and my friend had egg prata ($2), we then shared the Mee Hun Goreng(Fried Mee Hun $3). Drink as usual we got Teh Tarik ($1). Total damange is $9, however the price individually I was not quite remember.
Prata bom that I had in Malaysia is prata fried crispy with sugar coasting, the prata is filled with butter and kaya and tasted really nice. It will served with curry sauce. The one I had at King Omar shaped different but taste similar. They added condensed milk to the filling so that is really sweet. I was quite curious why it did not serve with curry, so I requested for that. Only when I ate till middle I found all the sweetness there.
Egg Prata tasted average. The curry is nice, I like it. The fried bee hun is average too. Teh tarik quite disappointing but still not too bad.
Although this is Indian rrestaurant but it sells thai food too. It gives you more selection.

Mamak Culture
A newly open indian stall in TPY central after renovation. I had breakfast there and order the Roti Telur (Egg Prata) and yuan yang drink (drink mix with tea and coffee). Prata tasted quite good and my friend said have Malaysia taste. She quite like it. The drink is average. Next, I will try their nasi briyani as I heard that is nice too.
As I had mentioned previously I will back for its Nasi Briyani. Me and my friend we shared the below set. Roti Set($4.2) and Nasi Briyani Fried Chicken Set($8.9). Both set come with a choice of coffee or tea. Roti set comes with 2 pieces of plain roti prata. The 2nd time of trying the prata still have quite good experience but the my focus the briyani was very much disappointing. The rice is not fragrant and the fried chicken, I think my friend banded it. I had small pieces as I am trying to cut down my chicken intake, for me is ok as I did not take the skin. So she had most of them. It was oily and salty, chicken was hard too. They served roti with fish curry and briyani with chicken curry depends on what you ordered. I was told if i choose fish for my briyani then I will get fish curry. However, both curry have not much different in taste, just one slightly sour. Teh tarik here still one of the good quality one we love.

Arcot Nawab Restaurant
My colleague recommended me to this South Indian restaurant as she said the rood here are quite special if compare to other restaurant. I usually have North Indian . So this is new try for me. Arcot Nawab Restaurnt specializes in Nawabs and Nizam’s cuisines of Southern India. However, this is not all about South Indian as the region is really huge.
The food overall tasted quite nice, interesting and I found they are really quite different from North Indian North Indian have more curry sauce type while South like drier. I am not sure was it because the signature item that we ordered. Every table will be served cumin water when you dine in, 1st time I had such spice water, fresh to me but some of my friends cannot take it.
Vasantha Neer ($3) - a special drink with the combination of coconut, lemon and mint. Tasted special and good. My colleague highly recommended to me.
Mango Lassi ($2.50) - I did not taste this but you won't go wrong with lassi and the price here quite cheap.
Egg Parotta ($2) and Parotta ($1.50) - the prata that we usually had. It is crispy and nice. I found the prata here is better than some famous prata place. No picture for this as we all so excited and forget about this
Meen Kothu ($7) - kind of fish cooked with beehun, smelled good. Not much flavour but not too bad.
Arcot Mutton Kurma ($8) - not the thick curry type but the mutton smell did not taste very strong in this style of cooking.
Calicut Chicken Roast ($7) - a bit salty but tasted quite unique. Good to go with briyani too.
Mutton Briyani($8.50) and Chicken Briyani ($7.50) - not the best briyani and most of us feel mutton briyani tasted better.
Karuvepilla Prawn ($8) - tasted quite ok but portion is too little.
Urulaikilangu Chips ($5) - fried chips with some spicy powder. Tasted good and some of my friends love it.
Homemade ice-cream that you will not get elsewhere, we got this FOC for the birthday girl. The boss generously sponsored it. It tasted really good, a must try desserts if you are here.
If compare, I personally prefer North Indian food more, probably because I love curry from North Style more.

Prata Wala
I met a friend at Bishan Junction 8, Prata Wala has a new branch at Junction 8 basement, it replaces the original Ajiesen Ramen(moved to another side) after renovation. Both of us like prata so we decided to go in. It was quite full house during the dinner time, but luckily we met some friends and secured the seat.
Curry Chicken Prata Set($7.50) - taste average.
Murtabak Chicken($8.50) - 1st time I had murtabak in Singapore. It is different from the one I tried in Malaysia, this version is thinner but taste quite good. The skin is crispy and good to go with the curry chicken. Overall, I quite like it but a bit pricey if compare with others.

I was here for the prata but a bit greedy wanted to have prata and tandoori. My vegetarian colleague thought of getting prata with some vegetables dishes. We then saw this tandoori platter for 2 and we were attracted by the choices. It comes with 3 kinds of tandoori meat, butter chicken, spinach paneer, curry beans and vegetables, naan and chicken briyani. Looks good and it is $25 for that.
We got that and I was surprised for the big portion of this. I am sure this is enough for 3 person. It comes with 10 naan and plenty of rice. My colleague is vegetarian so all the meaty stuff she couldn't take it. I immediately knew that I won't be able to finish it so I asked for take away bento box. With so many naan we were sure rice will be too filling so I almost packed back all the rice and added half of my tandoori chicken and butter chicken to the bento. That is more than enough for my dinner. We ate the rest and felt so full after that. The food generally tasted quite good. I used to go to their branch at Tiong Bahru for prata choice. Teh Tarik is nice too. A good place if you like to have Indian food.

Prata Raya
There used to have Ah Mei to serve good prata and nasi briyani inside AMK Hub. I am not too sure about other branch but at least AMK one tasted good. After renovation, it is gone but friend told me it moved to where the Old Chang Kee was last time.
I only tried it few months later after its renovation and found this is not Ah Mei. It is still selling prata but replaced with Prata Raya. I love teh tarik and prata so much. So how is the prata tasted? Not my kind of liking, not cripsy and tasted average but if I have prata craving and find no other place, I will still come here. The fried chicken is not crispy and it was cold. The teh tarik tasted not really good but my friend feel ok for her, I can have better elsewhere. Price is reasonable and it is air-conditioned. It was getting crowded when it come to late night.
They do sell other food like murtabak etc, may be I should try that next time.

The Cafe IND
This is the 2 in 1 restaurant where you can find Indian and Indonesian Cuisine in one place. Since it is 2 in 1, so our order had to be multinational too. We ordered the signature ayam penyet for the Indonesian Cuisine and naan with curry, the ladydingers for the Indian Cuisines. We did see Tom Yam on the menu and my sister like it so we ordered that too. So it is 3 in 1? We had Thai Cuisine too.
The food here overall quite nice but the place kind of not crowded partly because of the location, be frank, I live in Sibu for so long, I never been to this area before. The restaurant have a nice setting and it definitely one of a good choice to have Indian and Indonesia cuisines.
I like the ayam penyet, it is cripsy and sambal chili is nice too. They have to give more sambal chili as it is too little to go with rice and the others.
The Indian food is not the best I had but probably the best I had in Sibu. Naan is great to go with the curry and the lady fingers, they cut into slices and fried it. This is so delicious.
The tom yum soup tasted average but the prawn is not fresh as it is a bit soft.

Sakunthala Food Palace II
I cannot recall this placr until I step I saw the restaurant itself. I then recall I had been to this restaurant for curry fish head and my review seems not too bad. We had team dinner and before we came, I heard a lot of bad review from Indian colleagues. Why this place is choosen because it is halal certified.
Tandoori chicken and paneer consider 2 Indian dishes that I like the most. Thanks to my colleagues, I managed to try more varieties. Overall the dining experience not bad, may be because I am Chinese so I dun have much requirements. However, the Indian feels this restaurant had lot of room to improved.
