Inthanon Restaurant

It believes should be the highest Restaurants in Thailand – Inthanon Restaurant at the Royal Project, Doi Inthanon National Park. We had lunch fixed at this restaurant while visit the Doi Inthanon National Park (Chiang Mai). If you are taking the local tour to the national park, mostly you will had lunch here.

It was served as below, a few of us sharing 4 dishes - fried fish with gravy, unknow seafood soup but it tasted sour, stir fried chicken and vegetables. Overall, the dishes tasted average. I especially like the soup although I was not sure what is that. The way of the cooking very similar to the method that used by chinese except the soup. The rest is the usual way that I will cook my dish too.

Chiang Mai Gate Hawker Stall

I had dinner twice at Chiang Mai Gate Hawker Stall on my 1st and last night in Chiang Mai. This is a good place to get your stomach fixed. You can find the mix vegetables stall, noodles, rice, fruits, desserts, drink etc. However, all of the item written in Thai language and there is no English stated so most of the time we can only guess from the food people have or based on the pictures.

All sort of kuih/desserts but we tried non of them as my family seems like no interest at all.

Noodles soup stall that we passed by and we felt that is the best for the hot food. It looks the same as our Stir Fried Kway Teow(wet), but the taste is totally different. They call this soup as there are lot of gravy. It smelled great but slightly too sweet for me as a savoury dish.

Mango sticky rice, very popular dish that you can see almost everywhere. Sticky rice taste average but what disappointed us is the mango. It didn't looks fresh and in fact we almost removed all the black dark area before we ate.

I did not see this stall on my 1st night. I love pad thai because of the noodles. We got the pad thai and tom yum soup to share as we felt like we wanna tried other stuff while walking around. Both tasted quite good and spicy. If you cannot take spicy, do remember to request for less spicy version. We also ordered some fried prawn from other stall. It tasted average but too oily for us.

I heard Thailand famous for it durian and we got one for RM8(after coversion). Why I remember this because I felt one piece of durian for RM8 is very expensive. It tasted totally not nice and we wasted the whole fruits.

Coffee Lovers

I was walking around the old city for its temple and happened to pass by this lovely cafe. I wanted to have an indoor seat as the weather was too hot. Not too sure whether the AC had problem and I felt a bit warm indoor too. If you are here for the cafe, I would say outdoor has better view because of the decoration. I personally quite like it and I only notice when I wanted to go to rest room.

I had the coffee, no food for me as it was tea time and we had late lunch. Coffee tasted average, quite nice. A place suitable for chit chatting:)

McDonald's Thai

Me and my sister were looking around in CM airport to find any special stuff that we can bought for our snack. There aren't much choice and all seems quite standard and I recalled that Mcd in Thai serves pork burger. I checked with my sister whether she interested to try out and we got the Samurai Pork Burger.
The price in airport definitely higher than the town area. The burger didn't taste that great to us or I should said that is just average(my expectation was much higher as I heard really good review), may be due to I don't like the sweet sauce.

Cozy Coffee & Bakery

I was here on my last day in CM while I was looking for lunch before we went to airport. My mum and sister were tired and did not wish to walk to far. This cafe was tucked in the old city and from outside you cannot view it in full as we passed the street quite sometime(we stayed at hotel nearby), we only saw the logo saying that it is opening.

We went in to the cafe and I like the way how they decorated the cafe. The cafe itself is white and they have wooden furniture in the garden with some flowers decoration. We had coffee and cakes. I love the cup that they used to serve the coffee, coffee tasted quite good. We got rainbow crepe and green tea cake. The rainbow crepe looks so attractive but we both like the taste of green tea cake more.

Nice place to spent your time, sitting down for a coffee and do some reading.
