Loving Hut

I was looking on some vegetarian food online and happen to come across this international vegan restaurant chain. They have one branch at Suntec City, the one at Geylang area just open for few months when I visited(Feb 2014).

I checked out the reviews and most are positive. My lunchmate is vegetarian so that is ideal for us. I got myself Vegan Lasagne ($13.90+) and my friend had Vegetarian Pho ($9.90+). For drink, I had Cappuccino($5.9+) and she has rose drink. I understand from the staff that the coffee bean and soy milk that they use are organic. I did heard a friend commented that organic coffee is totally bad but I feel my cappuccino is fine.

My lasagne, the portion is alright for me but I feel for slightly big eater, this seems too little. My friend's pho looked like Chinese Yong Taofu but she said the taste is alright.  They have quite a lot of selections on the menu. This is not the best vegan restaurant buy worth to try out.

Wen Dao Shi

My friend was so surprised when I told her that I never try this dim sum place and she said I should try out. I got her advice for the crab porridge and king pork dumplings.  On their menu they have normal pork dumplings and king pork dumplings. She said ordered the one with king, definitely taste better than normal one.

The fried char siew bao looked interesting so we ordered one, it came with 4 pieces but it is really a small bun. I also order yam dim sum and vegetarian roll but both taste not really good. Lastly I added chicken feet as we saw almost everyone were getting it. Great that we did that, it is so far the best I tried in Singapore as of today.

Price will be slightly more expensive but no service charge. You should come for the dim sum if you have craving on it.

I had been here many many years ago and this is the 2nd time I tried this as my friend was visited Singapore and her hubby's friend brought us here for the frog porridge(田鸡粥). I was here last time for its crab hence, I did not know it is famous for its frog porridge.

I can eat the frog but if I have a choice, I will prefer not to have it as I don't really like the texture although most people commented how good is it. It suppose to be better than chicken meat. So I tried other dishes more. The food here generally tasted quite good but pricey too. I remember the crab tasted good but that is 5-6 years ago. This time we did not try the crab. I like the 2 ways of the cooking for the fish, it tasted really good. The roasted pork was crispy and nice too.

Bgain 116 eating house

We normally go to the Aljunied market nearby for lunch on Tuesday. Happened on the day we went, it was closed for cleaning. So we moved to this eating house.

Hor Fun with egg from Zhi Char Stall, my favourite but this only consider average, not really like it.

KongPo Chicken from Zhi Char Stall, my colleague said it is good!

Western Food at Char Grill Bar - Mixed grill, this is nice! Char Grill Bar have lot of other branches at different coffee shop island-wide. Their food quite standard and nice:)

新海山海鲜餐馆

I went to this restaurant just because I saw many people dining here. So me and my friend thought why not give a try. The dishes we ordered were quite nice except the "Fried Kway Teow Wet".

Tong Chiang Claypot Restaurant

We went to Geylang for food feast last Saturday. There are too restaurant at Geylang and we did not know which too choose. Finally, my friend suggested, why not go for Claypot rice as it is very famous at Geylang. So finally, we sat down at Tong Chiang Claypot Restaurant. My comments to the restaurant are: not bad, to me is average but at least if there is chance, I will still visiting it again.
I like the 三芭番薯叶 the most.
