Homemade Fishball Soup


Ingredients:-
  • 1/2 Batang Fish or Mackerel(Ikan Tenggiri in Malay) - only use the fish meat.
  • 1small yellow onion, sliced
  • Few slices of ginger
  • 1 tomato
  • Spring onions, cut into small sliced
  • Pint of sugar and salt
  • White pepper
  • 1 tbsp of water

Methods:-

  1. Remove the fish meat from the skin, add little water and use spoon to press the meat until sticky(approximate 15 mins)
  2. Cover the fish paste and leave aside if you are preparing the soup using the fish bone and skin. (I skipped this step)
  3. Stir fried the yellow onion, and add in the water(fish broth if have), boil it.
  4. When the soup is boiled, add in tomato. Use the spoon to scoop the fish paste and drop into the soup. Repeat until all fish paste finished.
  5. When all fish ball floating on the soup surface, means it is ready to serve. 
  6. Sprinkle spring onion on the soup and serve while hot.
