Tokyo Kitchen Setia Walk

Once I went out for the car park, this restaurant attracted me with its red tanglun hanging at the restaurant and make me feeling like want to try it.

1st time been to Setiawalk so decided to take a tour 1st before we decided on what to eat. As we are all not very hungry so decide to go to a HK restaurant to have some light stuff, but when my friend walked pass this restaurant and he got attracted by the menu, so end up we dined in the Tokyo Kitchen.

I love the way the designed the restaurant, very attractive and also all the wooden wish card that hanging around. After asking for our bill, we asked them for the wooden card as we also want to leave our words hanging there. This is so interesting.

The drink that we ordered, since we dun know what to order, my friends they went for the recommended sign. I love green tea so I got myself a green tea latte. It is nice but slightly sweeter and less green tea flavour. The soda that my friend have, it comes with an ice-cream on top, she was very disappointed and guess no next time for her. The mix fruit tea, comment from friend tasted not bad.

Start From Left: L10 Pineapple Lemon Soda(RM8.80++), L21 Mix Fruit Tea(RM6.80++), L30 Green Tea Latte Soothie(RM8.80++).

Here come our sushi. We really looked at the menu's picture and decided what we want. So restaurant menu is important as visual won most of the votes. The waitress that helped us to take the order is actually the chef in the kitchen, as there are not enough helper, she came out to help. Since she is the chef, we asked her to recommend the best food for us and great that the 2 sushi rolls that we chose are the one recommended by her, so we did a good choice. We were lucky also to be given a FREE spider roll. We are not aware until we were half way eating and the rest of the sushi was served. Special thanks to the kind chef who offered this to us!! All of them are so YUMMY!

Start From Top: A43 Tokyo Kitchen Special Roll(RM24.80++) - Fried Tiger Prawn Cucumber Roll topped with unagi, mango, shrimp roe and peanut sauce, A37 Salmon Cheese Roll(RM24.80++) - Baked Salmon Cheese with crabstick, omelette, cucumber, shrimp roe, spring onion and mayonnaise, A38 Spider Roll(RM19.80++) - Fried soft shell crab and cucumber topped with shrimp roe.

Other than sushi, we ordered additional meal set plus a salmon don for sharing. These are the warm version and all tasted good. I personally don't really like baked salmon and there is always some fishy smell but the baked salmon here have no such issue and I was enjoying it. Chawanmushi is silky soft although the taste is quiet standard.

Start From Left: K2 Roasted Salmon Cheese Rice(RM28.80++) Served with Green salad + chawanmushi+ miso soup + agedashi tofu, F5 Salmon Ebiko Mini Don(RM17.80++) served with miso soup
I also saw an interesting sushi on the menu, the dinosaur sushi (RM29.30++) per piece. This probably the largest suhsi in the town. We did not order that because we do not have enough space for that and we prefer to try the other variety on the menu.

I looked at their dessert menu and is tempted but really no more space, too bad, and that means I will have a reason for the next visit.

Here came the bill session and the wishes writing session. Each of us can request for a wooden card and the restaurant will provide the marker pen for you to write down whatever you want and they will help you hang it there. On the night, there are shortage of the red ribbon, so they promised us to help us hang in the next day. We told them that, MUST help us hang and we will come back the next day for sport check. :D Of course we did not so hopefully they did help us to hang.
