Ah Loy Thai

It wasn't easy for me to dine in here, reason being I came to this restaurant for 3 times and din manage to have a try until the 4th time.

1st time, when I come around 7:30pm, they told me, there is nothing left because last ordered.

2nd time, I reached around 6:30pm, I saw long queue and same they told me no more ingredients. So the gal in front me was the last order!!

3rd time, I din check their opening hours correctly, they close on Sunday. So missed it again!!!

4th time, finally I had chance to try as I come for Saturday lunch. I love the food, generally it is nice overall, and it is not too expensive, now I know why it is so popular.

We ordered the "Red" basil chicken. Their menu have red and white version. So I asked the lady at cashier, what is the different? Red come with Kailan and white come with bamboo shoot. This is average.

Next, I ordered mango salad and fried squid with butter.  I feel mango salad a bit salty, not kind of my liking. The squid with butter a bit disappointed. I think original fried squid will be better.

Their ice milk tea is great too but it will be better if less sweet.

Tom Yum Soup -I feel like Thai food without tom yam will be a bit weird, so Tom Yam is a must. This is always in my list and the tom yum here is really great and even for the next visit, I will still order this. The flavor is strong and sour enough. MUST TRY!!
