Ramen Santouka I

I heard from my colleague that The Central@Clarke Quay has a very nice Japanese ramen. I search online and found this restaurant - Ramen Santouka.

I like spicy food thus I ordered Kara Mison (Spciy Miso base) Ramen. The ramen is different from Ajisen ramen. It looks like instant noodles but it is more chewy than instant noodles. Before order I asked the staff how spicy is it, the lady told me it is very very spicy to her. After tasted, I feel the spiciness of the soup is actually none. It is not spicy at all. I even added chili powder to the soup. The soup base is really saltish but that is ok for me one a while. Komi Tamago (flavored boiled egg) is served with the set menu. I always a egg lover. This Komi Tamago is nice.

The ramen served in 3 sizes. You can also choose to upgrade your ramen to a large portion (+$2) or downsize to a mini bowl (-$1).

Toroniku ($8 a plate as per ala carte) is roasted cheeks from the pig's head. If I am going again, this will be a must try item. I did not ordered Tokusen Toroniku Ramen but I tasted it. The sliced pork is really nice, at first glance I felt like the pork is fat, but when you tasted it, you really felt it melt in your mouth. I really like it.
