So Pho

A newly opened Vietnamese restaurant(owned by the same folks behind Bali Thai) which served a good pho. I love the pho and its soup base. This is more alike that what I had tasted in Hanoi. The soup is clear and sweet but not very strong herb taste. My colleague took the dried vegetarian vermicelli.  She said that is great but would be better if they offer vegetarian pho as she really like it.

Pho Bo - Bo Vien($8.80) - Sliced Beef and beef ball noodles served in the delicious soup. I like the version here. If you cannot take beef, you can order the chicken pho - Pho Ga.

Another visit back to this Vietnamese restaurant, my vegetarian colleague like the eatery place so she suggested a return to try other stuff. We got the mix spring roll platter which includes the thai fish cake, rice spring roll and fried spring roll. I tasted 2 of them, quite good.

Cha Ca La Vong($10.9++) - I had this dish in Hanoi, the original shop few years back and I remembered it is quite nice, the only thing I felt it is too oily so if you want to have good stuff, forget about the fat that you saw. The combination of ingredients - turmeric, dill, shrimp paste and fish sauce, served with silky noodles and a thicket of other fresh herbs to season the chunks of fish, that is what I had tried in Hanoi. So Pho's version slightly different, it is served in a hot plate with the grilled fish topped on the fresh onion, there is one sweet and sour sauce that goes together with the fish and noodles, else it will be too dry to eat the both alone. Taste wise slightly different but still consider quite nice.

Vietnamese Drip Coffee($4.9++) - for sure you will need to try this when you are in Vietname, I did not try in So Pho but my Indian colleague quite like it.
