Hong Kong Style Malay Cake 港式马来糕

I tried this cake at a friend's wedding and found that it taste really good. I tried to search the recipie online but I could not get one. So I decided to modify from some common recipe that I found.



材料 Ingredients:-
材料A:150g 幼糖(fine sugar) 5粒蛋(eggs)
材料B:120g 玉米油(corn oil) 130g 鲜奶(fresh milk)
材料C:280g 面粉(flour) 20g 卡士特粉(custard powder) 2tsp 发粉(baking powder) 1/2tsp 苏打粉(soda powder)

做法 Methods:-
1. 把材料A拌打至糖完全溶解,加入材料B拌勻。
Beat ingredients A until the sugar dissolve, add in ingredients B and stir well
2. 最后加入材料C拌勻,休息20分钟。
Lastly add in ingredients C amd stir well, put aside for 20mins
3. 将面糊倒入模型中,用大火蒸12分钟至熟,取出立刻脱模即可。
Pour the mixture into the mould and use high heat to steam for 12 mins or until it is ready.  Take out the cake from the mould.

自选的Optional Step:-
材料: Kaya加椰, Nutella巧克力醬

我试过的蛋糕,有一层加椰在中间, 所以我就把蛋糕切半,也擦上加椰和巧克力醬。味道还不错,。虽然我的朋友说并不太像一般的马来糕。
The one i tried, they added kaya as a layer to the cake. I wanted the same so I cut the cake into half, apply kaya and nutella separately on the cake.
Although my friend feel it doesn't taste like the Malay cake but still not too bad.
