I celebrated a friend birthday at this cafe as she wanted to explore this area. I had been here once few years ago. My very 1st cafe hopping started here where one of my friend wanted to try egg benedict in Singapore. During that time not so many cafe as compare with now, Epicurious popped up from the search engine as one of the best Egg Benedict in town. The cafe is really crowded at brunch and lunch session. My 1st visit HERE. If you notice, the price had increased.
The 2nd visit was at a hot afternoon but thanks god that outdoor seating is not that warm as I thought of. MY ordered the Ratatouille Omelette($14.6+) and latte($5.5+), I had only cappuccino($4.8+) as I had a very heavy breakfast. Having to say that I ate nothing? Nope, I cannot resists to have 2 desserts ordered. Apple crumble was not available, we were so unlucky. We took the staff recommendations to go for the Sticky Date with Ice Cream ($8+) and I got extra Bread Butter Pudding ($8+). Sticky date was perfectly well done, warm soft and the ice cream matched greatly. Bread pudding was very disappointed, very dry until I asked the staff to give me some sauce to go with it. She helped me to ask the kitchen and she came back to me saying that this is always standard made. What she can help me was adding a scope of ice cream for me. I took it as it is too dry. For this the service charges paid worth it. However, not all of them are friendly. I had a request of putting a candle on the sticky date cake for my friend. The staff show unwillingly face and replied me:"Aiya, I see what I can do la."
