Baba Wins' Peranakan Cuisine

This restaurant is hidden at level 1@Star Vista which is quite hard to notice it if no one point me there. It is pretty small with only 8 tables. The decoration is great, and the table feels nyonya.

The dishes are not huge version but still alright to share with 3-4 people if you ordered more dishes. Their menu selection is limited. Overall taste of the food is consider good. I always like peranakan food due to its ingredients and spices.

We ordered sambal prawn petai($10.50++) and Sambal Bendi Goreng Udang($7++). I guess they are using the same sambal just the prawn tasted more sour. I quite like the sambal taste so to me this is great! Lady finger if fried longer that will be good and it tasted  a bit green. i misunderstood the goreng udang with prawn paste, only when it served, then I only know we order 2 prawn dishes. I love prawn so it is xinful for me.

Their pork dishes all sold out so we can only ordered chicken, Ayam Buah Keluak($10.50++). I tatsed this dish in Melaka Nyonya restaurant before which that time I feel the taste is weird. This one they served without Buah Keluak. I am wondering if they blend the Buah Keluak and cook it, but the taste is special. The chicken is soft and tender, good to go with rice.

Assam Fish with lady fingers($10.50++) - My friend love this and I like it too because of it sourness.
